Tree Lawn welcomes Christian Scott and Erin Bode

Tree Lawn is proud to welcome Grammy-nominated trumpeter CHRISTIAN SCOTT to our roster for worldwide bookings (with the exception of Europe). At age 25, Christian is already a 10-plus year veteran of the music scene, having emerged under the tutelage of his uncle Donald Harrison, the masterful New Orleans saxophonist. His two Concord releases chart the progress of this innovator who picks up where Miles Davis left off 20 years ago in embracing all music in his artistic vision, as long as it is hip.

We are also thrilled to welcome back to The Lawn vocalist ERIN BODE and the Erin Bode Group. The band's July release, The Little Garden, further establishes her voice and that of her quartet as unique pop innovators.

Tree Lawn is excited to announce the exclusive worldwide signing of the young and incredibly talented singer-songwriter, ARI HEST! Ari's latest endeavor, which began in Jan 2008, is to write and record one original song every week for 52 weeks, culminating in a 2009 album made up of 12 of the highest voted fan favorites. The songs are available on Monday of each week to subscribers through his website, arihest.com. This is a new DIY model that is making positive waves during this uncertain time in the industry; and we are psyched to be a part of the team! Welcome, Ari!

With the New Year, Tree Lawn is thrilled to announce the exclusive worldwide signing of the young and already legendary bassist CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE. Christian's many talents -- from first-call collaborator with everyone from Sting and Billy Joel to Sonny Rollins and Pat Metheny to composer and bandleader for the soon-to-be-debuted The Movement Revisited, a musical meditation on the Civil Rights movement -- will ideally complement those of the existing family of Tree Lawn Artists. Tree Lawn welcomes Karrin Allyson and Richard Julian

The end of Summer 2007 brings two new exciting artists to the Tree Lawn. Mutliple-Grammy-Award-nominated vocalist KARRIN ALLYSON and wry folk troubadour RICHARD JULIAN are welcome additions to the Tree Lawn Artists roster. Both artists have early 2008 releases on deck - Karrin with a Brazilian project on Concord and Richard with his sophomore release on EMI/Manhattan. Karrin continues her busy touring schedule this fall while Richard supports Suzanne Vega on the first leg of her US tour which begins this month. We are thrilled to be working with both of these top-notch vocalists.

Tree Lawn is very proud to welcome the distinctive rock/pop singer-songwriter PATTI ROTHBERG to its roster for exclusive worldwide bookings as well as two new artists for international (outside of North America) bookings -- innovative Galactic drummer STANTON MOORE and virtuoso jazz guitarist BRAD SHEPIK. We are thrilled with these additions.

We are also excited to announce that AL KOOPER will be returning to Japan December 7 through 12 for a string of high-profile concerts. Al is a true icon in Japan and the run should be hugely successful.

Tree Lawn welcomes Charlie Hunter

The Tree Lawners are very excited to announce that CHARLIE HUNTER has come on to The Lawn for bookings outside of North America and Japan. A technical virtuoso and stylistic innovator, Charlie has been his own musical man since the beginning. His forthcoming release MISTICO (Fantasy/Concord) introduces his tightest ensemble yet. The trio gives a preview of its new material at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in early May. Touring plans for Europe, Asia and South America are focusing on October/November 2007 and March 2008.

Tree Lawn is proud to welcome rock-n-roll genius AL KOOPER to its roster. A walking and talking history of the music all in one body, Al has figured essentially in the careers of artists including Bob Dylan, Lynyrd Skynyrd and founded the ground-breaking pop group Blood, Sweat and Tears. A new cd and dvd are in the works.
