A productive musician and prolific songwriter, Ari writes songs weekly and tours consistently. During the two years since his debut, Ari has produced two DIY recordings — 2005's Guilty Hearts EP and 2006's The Green Room Sessions -- for which he produced and recorded his performances on every instrument using Apple's GarageBand software 

With his latest album, The Break-In, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Ari Hest builds on the soft-spoken sensibility he established with his 2004 major label debut, Someone To Tell, and sets out in new musical and lyrical directions.

Having recently parted ways with Columbia Records, Ari Hest launched an ambitious project in January, 2008 called "52", in which he is independently releasing 52 original songs in 52 weeks in a DIY subscription model that is the first of its kind. Ari is introducing a new track each Monday with streaming audio and video, and fans will vote on their favorite 12 tracks, which will appear on Ari's next studio album, due out early 2009.
